ABOUT WIVM / WIVN / WIVX

WIVM / WIVN, is locally owned and operated. In these day of impersonal programming and television stations operated by people who have no vested interest in the communities they are serving, WIVM / WIVN / WIVX is bringing television back to the local level.

Turn on your TV today and maybe you will see a friend, neighbor, or child ... someone who makes watching television an experience in which you can identify with those you are watching. It's a real kick to look at the screen and say, "hey I know him/her" or 'that's my boy who ran for the touchdown."

The idea is to bring local television back. Enable the residents of our viewing area to see people they really know and watch events that they are really interested in.

We will be striving to bring more local programs including high school sports and other school activities, local elections, and other things of interest to our local viewers..

Some of the local programs we currently carry include "Plus or Minus 60" "The Royle Touch" "Big Time Sports" "Enhancing Your Home with Keim Lumber" and "The Really Spooky Movie" with local hosts Dean Marini and Jen Evans

We offer many of the best programs from the 60s, 70, and 80s through our affiliation with the RTV network including Battlestar Galactica, Magnum PI, Amen, Black Sheep Squadron, Mickey Spillane, Buck Rogers, Emergency, Alfred Hitchcock Presents, Knight Rider, McHale's Navy and more of your favorites.

As we grow we would like you to grow with us. Let us know what local events you'd like to see featured on WIVM / WIVN / WIVX. Your input is appreciated and encouraged. Your letters and comments will not be sent to some large impersonal corporation .. they will be read and considered right here in Canton, Ohio. What is important to you is important to us ... we live and work here and have concerns for and interest in this community just like you do.
